Baltimore Neighborhoods

Federal Hill
A community of khaki-clad yupsters, cap-sporting baseball fans, bohemian coffee shop habitues and a smattering of homeless, stately Federal Hill is one of Baltimore's oldest neighborhoods. Near the Inner Harbor, Camden Yards baseball stadium and Fort McHenry , Federal Hillboasts some of the best preserved colonial architecture and is home to the American Visionary Art Museum.

Fell's Point
Baltimore's original harbor is a charming Eastern seacoast village of cobblestone streets and herringbone brick sidewalk with sidewalk cafes. Antique shops and saloons surround a town square with benches and pretzel and lemonade kiosks. The dock, in service since before the American revolution, is served by water taxi.

Little Italy
A century-old neighborhood that's home to an assortment of sensual restaurants, bocce rollers and summer Festivals. Boundaries are Pratt St. on the north, Eden St. to the east and the Baltimore waterfront on the south and west.

Mount Vernon
Baltimore's epicenter of high culture, spirituality and historic statuary, Mount Vernon is the site of America's oldest George Washington Monument, the renowned Walters Art Gallery and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the United States' first Catholic cathedral. Despite its classic pedigree, Mount Vernon mixes it up with hip retail like Beadazzled and comfy cafes such as Donna's.
